Kinja'd!!!

I haven't seen this story posted on here yet, so I figured it was time that you guys had a chance to witness once again why most people hate taking their prizes possessions into dealerships.

We start the story with a young man who brings his 2013 V6 Mustang in for a slight tick noise being noticed at idle and low RPMS. Presumably head tick, which has plagued many recent Fords (including my 2008 GT and 2004 Cobra). Usually this requires some adjustment or replacing of parts to resolve.

The techs however, had other ideas. Just take a look at the video below to see what I mean....

The owner reports that after a month and a half, that they've done nothing other than give him a massive run-around. Now he's left with his car WORSE than when he took it in, and is seeking further action.

Read the full thread below to keep updated as this story rolls on. Can we all agree now that dealerships, regardless of manufacturer, are just best to stay away from? Deal? Deal.

I just imagine the dealership is doing this to my F-150 and my Fusion everytime I take them in for service.

Just make sure you don't mention any "ticks" and you'll be okay.

probably shouldnt deal with businesses in red states, unless you have more money than they do, making you more right.

Thanks Tom, you're awesome! I'm sure he appreciates the help! Let me know if there is anything I, or the rest of Oppo can do to help!

I think this goes beyond red/blue state. This has been happening more and more frequently as of late, or at least getting caught red-handed doing it. Its 110% unacceptable and these dealers, along with their techs, deserve to feel every attack they receive from this.

I've had the privelage to own quite the selection of sports cars for my age, and this is what scares me the most. Trusting someone with what is realistically a piece of me, and hopong that they don't treat it like this. Sad day when things like this are caught in the act.

That's kinda messed up. Unless my new Elantra ever needs warranty work-it's never gonna see the inside of a dealership again.

It's not that I don't trust the Hyundai dealership, it's because I have a mechanic I already trust 100%.

My old man always said that once you find a good mechanic and a good plumber.....always make sure they know how much you appreciate them.

Couple years ago, our water heater died at 3 PM on Christmas Eve.....I called our plumber to make an appt for the 26th (we told our plumber we'd be okay until the 26th).....he wouldn't hear of it and came over to install a new one that afternoon.
